Blue & White Volunteers

Home Meet Set-up Volunteers - Please check-in 11:00am at the lifeguard alcove in the clubhouse area.  You will initial the check-in list and then go to the shed behind the pool area.  Tim Kownacki and the Tent Dudes will direct you what needs to be set-up inside and outside the pool deck to prepare for the meet.  There is also set-up in and around the clubhouse.

Home Meet Clean-up Volunteers - You can check-in AFTER the last event.  (We don't want people signing in and leaving - yes this does happen and it leaves a few to do the job of many).  Then go to shed, you will be directed by Tim and Tent Dudes to start tear-down of equipment.  There is clean-up in the clubhouse area as well so please do not leave until all jobs are completed - ask Tim or Volunteer Coordinator.

All 1st and 2nd Shift Volunteers please check-in at the lifeguard alcove after you get your swimmer circled-in on the Dolphin Boards and situated in their age group tent.

*Tent Parents please arrive about 11:50am - so that you can check-in your age group swimmers as they arrive (you will be given a list of the swimmers in your age-group tent on a clipboard).  

*There will be a Timer and Scribe Meeting (for timers, scribes, head timers) about 10-20 minutes before the meet starts - it will be announced by the DJ.  

*There will also be an officials meeting before the meet. It will be announced by the DJ.

*If you are working on the pool deck as a timer, scribe, meet runner, ready bench, etc. bring plenty of WATER with you to your volunteer job.  We don't want anyone getting de-hydrated!!    

Bottled water provided is for Officials, Clerk of Course and coaches.

There are a few open volunteer shifts especially during the second shift. You can add a volunteer shift tomorrow by letting the Volunteer Check-in attendant know. It will be added to your volunteer points in the system next week. Please write YOUR FULL NAME on the sign-in so the point can be added to the correct person.

As this is a Time Trial and there are a lot of new families please do not hesitate to ask questions of any FAST Board Member or New Parent Mentor - we are here to help and work together as a team.  The volunteer jobs are fairly simple but as with anything there is a learning curve at first (we have all been there don't worry!) but you will pick it up quickly.

Volunteer Sign-up for the Wortham Away Meet next week will open on Sunday at 5:00pm!  Please don't forget to declare your swimmer (whether they are swimming or not) and sign-up for a volunteer job!
