Good Morning FAST Families, 

Volunteers signups will be opening up today (Friday) around noon for both the Blue & White Meet and for the Pictures & Pizza Social.  I am still working on a few details with this new system - so please be patient.

You will need to login into your account on the FAST swimtopia website in order to signup.  There will be a green box with "Job Signup" next to the calendar event or meet date, you click it and sign-up for a Blue & White Meet Job and/or Home Setup and Cleanup.  If you encounter any problems please email [email protected].  I  will be out of pocket today all day today and will resolve any issues tomorrow (Saturday) so email to the address above.

I will be posting a document on the FAST website with additional volunteer information... when jobs open up, volunteer job descriptions, the result of not earning your volunteer hours for the season, etc.   You will want to read through this document.

A FEW REMINDERS.....

VOLUNTEER CREDIT REQUIREMENTS:

If you have a swimmer on the FAST team, each family must complete:

• The minimum of 6 volunteer credits that can be earned at either Home or Away DUAL meets (Blue & White is included even though not a dual meet).
• Plus 1 HOME meet set up or 1 HOME meet clean up.
  • We state a “minimum” because volunteers are essential to running a swim meet.   If there are not enough volunteers to run the meet, the Head Official can stop the meet until all the volunteer positions have been filled. We need to have all the volunteer positions filled for the safety of swimmers and efficiency of completing the meet in a timely manner.
  • The Divisional Meet and Invitational Meets are separate volunteer requirements, if your child swims at any of these meets, you will be required to volunteer (usually as a timer or scribe) for at least 1 shift as requested by the team hosting the meet.
• Please be respectful and considerate, every parent (including Board Members and Officials) wants to watch their swimmer swim – please be willing to help out where necessary.

Note: If you have any foreseeable or sudden extenuating circumstances that prevent you from completing your volunteer credits (ie: illness, new baby, family emergency), please email [email protected].
